Micro-enterprise Initiative: A Pathway to Economic Independence
Build Confidence, Capacity, Connections
Community Action NOW! Inc, Micro-enterprise Initiative is a pathway to economic independence through self employment. Participants in the Micro-enterprise Initiative are low-income, high-potential entrepreneurs who want to start up or strengthen their small business. CAN micro-entrepreneurs are women and men veterans, disabled individuals and those with felony convictions who are creating barber shops, body art studios, restaurants, tax offices, retail clothing stores, online retailers, cleaning and landscaping businesses--the possibilities are endless. They bring passion with skills and experience in their business area and the discipline and perseverance necessary to bring their dream of self-employment to reality.
Enrolled micro-entrepreneurs will engage in hands-on workshops with subject matter experts in business, finance, branding, marketing, credit building, micro-lending and product pricing. Participants enrolled in this course will earn a Business Development Certification through successful completion of this program. Our goal is to help create a strong plan for your business, including strategies to obtain start up or expansion financing.
